Escape the Modern World

Join us for Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot November 2018!

November 2nd marks the one year Anniversary of the Gunpowder plot and Guy Fawkes’ attempt to blow up Parliament. To distract the King, he has been invited with his wife, Queen Anne of Denmark, to the Shire of Shrewsbury to enjoy the celebrations being provided to entertain the King, His Court, and the visiting Nobility at the annual Autumn Festival.

As conspiracies are common at Court, His Majesty’s men are attempting to ferret out other schemers. The Guards, led by Captain Malcolm Wolfe (Malcolm Paul Edward Michael Anthony Joseph Wolfe to his friends) accompanies the King and Nobility, protecting the peace, and carrying heavy objects (or people) when needed.

Join the Adventure:

Save the King! Help Captain Wolfe by participating in the King's Crusade Interactive Game, asking members of our cast for clues to solve the intrigue! Ask for more information at the House of the Three Sisters, located next to the O’Malley Stage. The sisters will explain the King's Crusade Interactive Game and Award Prizes to those who participate, when your Crusade is completed.

Why we do what we do.

Fact: our fun and fantasy in the forest serves a purpose. Every dollar raised from this event goes to the teachers and students in Lake County Public Schools. Our culinary students cook every turkey leg and our drama students prepare to greet our patrons for 4 months. There are over 13,000 volunteer hours dedicated to the magic. The event has over a 2 million dollar economic impact on our county. It is fantasy and fun that creates futures for many less fortunate. Please make this the year you come!

Should you not be able to join the revelry we ask that you would still contribute. Please consider making a donation to the Lake County Educational Foundation today for the students and teachers of Lake County.
